Junior Women Curlers Win RSL Grant for 2015

In early April 2015, veteran players of the Australian junior curling team, Samantha Jeffs and Tahli Gill were awarded the RSL Youth Development Grant for their Sporting achievements. This award was celebrated at a youth forum at Bond University among the other recipients of the award.

The girls have already made plans and will be attending the internationally renowned intensive curling training camp, ‘Trillium’ in Canada in August this year. Their inclusion in this camp will greatly benefit their skills in the game and better prepare them for the World B Curling Championships in Finland in 2016.

They are extremely excited to be going and are looking forward to learning a great deal. This trip has been encouraged by their Canadian Coach, Melissa Savage who they are looking forward to catching up with once again.

Samantha and Tahli would like to acknowledge the substantial support from the RSL Sub Branch of Geebung and Zillimere and Bond University and are grateful for this amazing opportunity.
