There are different processes for selection of representatives for the Athlete and Participant Forum:
- Up to one person elected as a representative of Recreational participants from each Member State
- Up to 4 persons elected as representative of Athletes by their peer competitors
- Olympians and Para Olympians may join on request

Congratulations. We respect the commitment that you have made to reach the pinnacle of our Sport in Australia. There is a spot on the Athlete and Participant Forum reserved just for you.
Any eligible Olympian or Para Olympian may take a position on the Athlete and Participant Forum at any time, by notifying both Curling Australia and the Chair of the Athlete and Participant Forum in writing of their intent to do so.
Anyone participating in the sport of Curling at a state or club level may nominate for election as a Participant Representative of the general curling community.
Each Member State of Curling Australia has the opportunity to elect one person from among their membership as a Participant Representative for the Athlete and Participant Forum. Contact your state curling association to express your interest in nominating. The timing and process for election of Participant Representatives will be determined by each member state.
Athlete Representatives are elected by eligible athletes who have competed at Nationals or represented Australia. In the past 5 years, have you competed at a Curling Australia National Championships event or represented Australia at a World Curling event? You are eligible to nominate and to vote for election of Athlete Representatives. To ensure that all eligible athletes have an opportunity to vote, eligible athletes are asked to register to vote via a form on the Curling Australia website.

Each Member State of Curling Australia has the opportunity to elect one person from among their membership as a Participant Representative for the Athlete and Participant Forum. Each member state can determine its own timing and process for election of Participant Representatives from among their general membership, ensuring that each member has a fair opportunity to nominate and vote.
Election of Athlete Representatives
Up to 4 Athlete representatives are elected through a vote of their peers.
Elections will be conducted by the Athlete and Participant Forum or by Curling Australia on behalf of the Athlete and Participant Forum.
Nominations
Nominations for Athlete Representative positions on the Athlete and Participant Forum may be made using the online nomination form. Candidates must provide the following information:
- Name and email address
- Confirmation of eligibility
- Candidate statement
Use the following online form to nominate as a candidate. Please be aware of the closing date for nominations as per the timeline below.
Candidates may also submit a CV and cover letter in favour of their nomination by email to the Athlete and Participant Forum (apf@curling.org.au).
All nominations will be published on the Curling Australia website following the close of nominations.
Voting Registration
All athletes that meet the criteria as an Athlete Representative are eligible to vote. Prior to voting, all athletes that intend to vote in the Athlete Representative election must register online using the link below. This will ensure that everyone who wants to vote will receive voting information by email. The following information is required for registration:
- Name and email address
- Confirmation of eligibility
Voting Process
All eligible registered voters will receive a ballot invitation by email with instructions for submitting their vote. Each eligible voter may vote for up to four candidates; the 4 candidates receiving the largest number of votes will be appointed as Athlete Representatives.

Elections for APF representatives in 2026 will be conducted according to the following timeline:
