Historically, Junior National teams represent Australia at the Pacific Junior Curling Championships and in 2016 the World Curling Federation created a World Junior “B” Curling Championship event for Member Associations to qualify Junior teams for the World Junior Curling Championships. From 2005 to 2015, Australian Junior teams competed in the Pacific Junior Curling Championships until it was discontinued. Then from 2016, the World Junior “B” Curling Championships replaced the Pacific event as a way to qualify for the World Junior Curling Championships.
