Curling Australia is calling for entry nominations for teams seeking to compete at the 2025 Australian Women’s National Curling Championships. The winning team will qualify as the first choice for selection(*) to represent Australia at international events for the 2025/26 season.
Refer to the Curling Australia Eligibility and Selection Policy (V2.0 Feb 2019) for selection rules. For this pre-Olympic year, Curling Australia has also published an addendum to the selection policy that provides additional interpretation of the selection rules as regards Olympic qualification pathways.
Competition Information
- Dates: 15-20 May 2025
- Venue: Maniototo Adventure Park Curling Rink. Naseby, Otago, New Zealand
* Dates may be adjusted depending the number of entries.
Teams are advised not to commit to travel arrangements until the event schedule has been published.
Entry Requirements
Entries are open to all curlers registered with a Curling Australia Member State who meet the eligibility requirements.
Team entries for Women’s competition must include four players and may also include a designated Alternate player, team coach and additional support person. All players on each team (including any Alternate) must meet the eligibility criteria specified by Curling Australia. These eligibility criteria include:
- Membership of a Curling Australian Member State Curling Body
- Eligibility to compete in the chosen discipline at world Championships as a representative of Australia. This may include Age, residency or citizenship criteria
- Agreement to relevant Curling Australia policies, including the Eligibility and Selection Policy, Sports Integrity policy. These policies may be found online via the Curling Australia website.
- Completion of mandatory Sports Integrity online training courses provided by Sports Integrity Australia. These modules must be completed by all players, coaches and support persons before the Team entry is submitted.

Additional acceptance criteria for players, coaches and support personnel may be required where Children and Young People are involved with a team, such as:
- Parental consent
- Working with Children check
- Completion of Child Safeguarding online training
All teams are advised to refer to the Curling Australia Eligibility and Selection Policy and the eligibility rules published by World Curling to ensure that all players are eligible for entry into the competition. Where there is any uncertainty, players may request a determination from Curling Australia as to eligibility for any specific competition by writing to [competitions@curling.org.au].
Entry Fees
Curling Australia collects an entry fee from all teams which is calculated to cover the full cost of staging the competition to a high competitive standard. The full cost will vary according to the number of entries and the total entry fee per team will not be determined until entries have closed. This entry fee is collected in two instalments:
- A Deposit of A$500 per team is required on submission of entry and must be received into the Curling Australia bank account within 48 hours of close of entries. Entries where the deposit has not been received on time may be rejected.
- A final payment calculated once all entries in the competition have been confirmed.
For 2025 Women’s championships, the estimated total entry fee per team is A$1250 per team.
Note that teams and individuals are responsible for their own costs including
- Travel & transport to/from the event
- Accommodation
- Transport between accommodation and the event venue
- Meals
How to Enter
All team entries must be submitted using the online entry form on the Curling Australia website. The form and instructions are available via this page:
To submit an entry the following information is required:
- A Team Contact email address. This may be a member of the team or someone else. This email address will be used for all correspondence related to the team entry. The person submitting the online entry form must have access to the Team Contact email inbox.
- Full name, email address and state curling membership for each player on the team, including alternate. Date of birth is optional. The name and email used by each player must match that used when registering and completing online learning courses through Sports Integrity Australia.
- The names and contact email address of any coach or support persons.
Closing Date
Closing date for entries is 23 March 2025. Late entries will not be accepted.
