All entries for Curling Australia National Championships are to be submitted online using the form on this page. Please read the instructions provided here before submitting the entry form and ensure that you have all necessary information available.
All teams are advised to refer to the Curling Australia Eligibility and Selection Policy (V2.0 Feb 2019) and the eligibility rules published by World Curling to ensure that all players are eligible for entry into the competition. For this pre-Olympic year, Curling Australia has also published an addendum to the selection policy that provides additional interpretation of the selection rules as regards Olympic qualification pathways.

To complete the online form you will require the following information
- A Team Contact email address. This may be a member of the team or someone else. This email address will be used for all correspondence related to the team entry. This email address will be verified as part of the entry process. You must have access to the Team Contact email inbox during the entry process.
- For Junior Championships competitions, ALL entries must have a Team Contact who is an Adult who is not a player of the competing team. When completing the registration form, the Team Contact must also register as the Coach or Support person for the team and will be expected to complete the relevant Sport Integrity online training.
- For each Player on the team, including any Alternate/5th Player:
- Full Name
- Email Address
- State Curling Membership
- Date of Birth is optional but should be provided for Juniors and Seniors where age is a factor in eligibility
- Parent/Guardian Consent is required for ALL Players entering Junior competitions, and for players under age 18 in any other competition. For these players you must be able to provide
- Full Name of the consenting parent/guardian
- Email address of the consenting parent/guardian
- The completed consent form signed by both the player and consenting parent/guardian
- (Send the completed consent form separately by email to competitions@curling.org.au).

Note that the name and email address used for each person should match that used to register in the Sport Integrity Australia online learning portal. This is how we verify that the required eLearning modules have been completed.
Eligibility Checks
Before submitting the Team entry, please ensure that all Team members have satisfied the following entry criteria:
- All players are fully-paid members in good standing of a Curling Australia Member State curling association. This will be verified by Curling Australia after your entry is submitted.
- All players meet the World Curling eligibility requirements of the selected discipline as regards Age, Gender, Classification, Citizenship or Residency to compete on behalf of Australia at international championship events.
- All players, coaches and support persons have completed all online eLearning courses provided by Sport Integrity Australia as required under the Curling Australia Sport Integrity Framework.
Instructions for using the Online Entry Form
Step 1: Register your Team Contact email address
Each team entry requires a team contact email. This email address will be used for all correspondence related to the team entry. It may be the same email as any team member, or it can be a different email. The same team contact email address can be used for team entries in different competitions, but not for multiple team entries in any one competition.
Curling Australia will verify the team contact email by sending a 6-digit verification code to that address. The verification code is required to complete the remainder of the entry form.
To obtain the verification code via email, open the Online Entry Form, select the competition, provide the Team Contact email address, and select “No” for the question asking for the verification code. Submit the form. The verification code will be sent to the email address that was provided.
At any time before the team entry is submitted, you can repeat this step to obtain a new verification code.
Step 2: Register your team
When you receive the verification email, reload the entry form (or open the form again using the link in the verification email). Choose the competition and enter the same Team Contact email. Choose ‘Yes’ for the question asking for the verification code and enter the code from the email in the field provided. You can then proceed to enter team details.
Check carefully that the Team Contact email and the Verification code match what was in the verification email. This is only checked after you submit the form. If these details do not match then your submission will be rejected. The verification code can only be used once but you can request a new code as per step 1 if needed.
Eligibility Check
- You are required to confirm that all players meet the eligibility criteria for entry into national championships. Please verify this before proceeding with your entry.
Team Name
- Provide the Team Name to be used for the competition draw. Please use the surname of the skip in the team name; for mixed doubles use the surname of both players, listing female first. (Eg. Williams or Gill/Hewitt)
Identify the players
- You may enter the details for 2 players (for Mixed Doubles) or 4 players plus an alternate.
- For each of the players on the team (and alternate), provide the player’s full name, the player’s own contact email address, and their state curling association membership. Date of Birth is optional. The email address given for each player will be validated when the form is submitted.
- Curling Australia will use the name and email address of each player to check that they have completed Sport Integrity Australia e-learning requirements. The details must match those used to register for the SIA e-learning courses. The name and email address that is registered at this time will also be used during the competition for voting for the Spirit of Curling awards.
- Curling Australia will check with the indicated state curling body to verify that the player is a member in good standing.
- For players under age 18 the Name and Email of the consenting Parent/Guardian is required.
Add a Coach and Additional Support person
- If the team has a coach or support person you can add them at this time. Name and Email is required.
- If not identified at this time a Coach or support Person can be added to the team roster at a later date.
- Note that the Coach and Support persons must also complete Sport Integrity online learning requirements and may be required to meet other eligibility criteria.
Step 3: Submit the entry form
Submit the completed form.
If the verification code is correct and matches the team contact email that you have registered for this competition, your entry will be recorded and a confirmation email will be sent to the team contact email address.
There are some conditions where your submission may be rejected at this stage. If the entry is rejected you will receive a response to the team contact email that is specified on the form.
- Incorrect or unregistered team contact email. If this team contact email does not match what was registered the entry will be rejected. (Note that the response will be sent to the incorrect address!)
- Incorrect verification code. You will receive a response to the registered team contact email with a different verification code and you will have to start again. (Sorry – this is just how it works).
- Incorrect Competition selected. You may have selected a different competition than what was used to register the team contact email. You will receive a validation code for that competition. Please be careful and don’t get confused.
- Entry already recorded. As noted, a team contact email address can only be used once for any competition. If this email address has already been used for a team entry, you will receive a response with the details of that entry. To enter a different team into that same competition, use a different team contact email address.
Step 4: Player Verification
When the entry form is submitted and processed, each player will receive a notification sent to the email address provided for that player on the entry form. Please ensure that all players are aware of this and will be expecting this email. Each player will be requested to click a button in that email to verify that their entry details as part of this team are correct.
Curling Australia does the player email verification step for several reasons:
- To ensure that each player identified on the team entry is aware that they are being included in the team and has agreed to be part of that team for the competition;
- To ensure that the personal details entered on the form for that player are correct;
- To ensure that each player’s email address is valid so that it can be used to for further communications such as checking Sports Integrity e-learning and for sending out voting forms for Spirit of Curling awards.
The player verification email contains a response button for the player to indicate that the details in the email are correct, or incorrect. When they receive this email, players should respond one way or the other. (If we do not get a response, this creates additional work for competition organisers to verify such details manually. Please help us by clicking the button!)
If for any reason the details sent to each player are not correct, a player can choose the “Incorrect” option. This does not invalidate a Team entry in the competition! Curling Australia will Contact the player and the Team to correct the record to ensure that the team entry is correct. Players can also email any corrections directly to the national championships organisers.
Step 5: Payment
Curling Australia does not accept online payment for Entry Fees. After your entry form is submitted you will receive a request for payment of the Entry Fee Deposit for the competition. Payments may be made by bank transfer. The deposit must be paid before your entry is accepted.
