The New Zealand Winter Games were first held in 2009-2013 for the Men’s and Women’s disciplines. Mixed Doubles was added to the programme in 2011 and continued until 2019 when Covid-19 prevented further Games. In 2009 and 2011 the games were called 100% Pure New Zealand Winter Games and from 2013 to 2019 the games were called Audi quattro Winter Games NZ.
