Purpose
The purpose of the Nominations Committee (NomCo) is to assess and recommend appropriate candidates for election or appointment as Directors to ensure that the Board is comprised of Directors with a variety of skills and experience who will be able to discharge their duties and responsibilities as Directors in the best interests of Curling Australia and the sport of Curling as a whole.

2025 Nominations Committee Membership
The Committee comprises:
- An independent Chair
- A Member State Representative (rotating annually)
- A current Director or Director representative
Appointments are made annually by the Board.

Roles and Responsibilities
The Nominations Committee is tasked with:
- Establishing timelines and processes for Director appointments
- Reviewing and assessing candidate applications using the Board Skills Matrix
- Considering diversity, gender equity, and the overall needs of the Board
- Preparing a candidate review report for the Board at least 22 days prior to the AGM
It is not responsible for:
- Creating the Board Skills Matrix
- Managing initial nominations or advertising vacancies
